Classes start at 8:30 a.m. so that students have enough time for their morning commute and can start the day calmly and without unnecessary stress.
The first day of school is dedicated primarily to introducing students to the school, its organization, and the class. We emphasize a calm start, orientation in the new environment, and creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Yes. At the beginning of the studies, there is an adaptation course, the aim of which is to support the class team, establish relationships and ensure a safe entry into secondary school. Students and parents will receive detailed information well in advance.
Teaching is conducted in both Czech and English. The bilingual approach is a natural part of the study and helps students build language confidence and the ability to function in an international environment.
No. We do not expect students to excel in English when they start. English is a natural part of the curriculum and students develop it gradually, in a safe and supportive environment.
Classes have a maximum of 23 students. We consider smaller study groups to be an important prerequisite for quality teaching, individual approach and open communication.
The school has its own lunch counter. Detailed information about the organization of meals, selection of dishes and lunch prices will be provided in due course.
Yes. A combined lyceum offers a solid general foundation and at the same time the space to gradually discover interests and seek a new direction without unnecessary pressure to make an early decision.
A counseling center is available to students, providing support in the areas of education, adaptation to studies, and personal development. We emphasize timely assistance and an individual approach.
Communication takes place through the school information system Edookit, by email and during individual personal meetings. We value open, understandable and partnership-based communication.
Assessment is carried out in accordance with the school regulations and focuses on ongoing work, understanding of the curriculum and the development of study skills. An important part is regular feedback, which helps students better understand their strengths and areas for further work.
Yes. Extracurricular activities, projects, and field trips are a natural part of studying at Baltimore High School. As part of the INVOLVE program, students regularly meet with professionals, participate in projects, and gain experiences that extend learning far beyond the classroom.Field trips and field trips foster language confidence, independence, and openness to other cultures—giving students experiences that have real impact and lasting value.
